ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Jitka Kopečková and I am the developer of Linguella.

As an enthusiastic amateur writer, I spent a lot of time writing stories and I kept running into the same problem – all writing tools were designed for English. Scrivener, yWriter and other great apps could never check my Czech grammar, they didn’t support diacritics properly and I often felt like I was fighting with the tool instead of writing.

As a freelance designer with a technical background, I decided to solve this myself. Linguella was born out of frustration, but mainly out of the belief that Czech authors deserve a tool tailored specifically to our language.

This is not my first project – I previously created Pyloop Tag Manager and I have experience in software development. But Linguella is more than just an app for me. It is a tool I always wished I had when I was writing my own stories.
